Cook Global, Buy Local

Nadia Hassani
1:15 p.m. - 2 p.m.

“I’m lucky Lehigh Valley produces such a stunning variety of fruits and vegetables,” says area resident Nadia Hassani. “I can cook dishes from my native Germany, Europe and other world cuisines – all with fresh, local ingredients.” Nadia will talk about some of her summer favorites, which you can easily make in your own kitchen, and she will demonstrate how to make Spaghetti Ice Cream, a popular ice cream sundae in Germany made with fresh berries – a stunning yet simple preparation.

Nadia is the author of the book and blog Spoonfuls of Germany. As a passionate gardener, she records her gardening ups and downs and favorite recipes in her gardening blog, My Gardener’s Table. She also writes about her latest explorations in the Lehigh Valley in a blog column for Fig Bethlehem.
